That's beside the point.
I made the following point: "If a woman chooses to abort because she has "choice," wouldn't it be self-contradictory if the aborted baby was a girl? A future woman? This girl has been stripped of her choice without a voice."
The response I got was quite strange. Very strange. I had to think around some strange logical issue to respond to this: "Then by your reasoning, should all women get pregnant then? Because if they choose not to, isn't that the same thing as choosing not to put sperm and egg together, and that potential human isn't given a chance?"
My first thought was I never said that...why would they assert this? I soon figured out why they came up with this response, but something didn't set right with me. My response (faaaar from perfect) went as follows:
"Why do you say that choosing to abort a potential woman is the same thing as choosing not to get pregnant? I can faintly see how you came up with this idea based off of my statement, but I'd like to point out a detail you conveniently left out: motive. When a woman chooses to abort, that's a conscious straight-up decision to abort the baby. Now, answer me this: when a woman chooses to not get pregnant, do you honestly think that they are consciously attempting to not give birth to a potential human?"
I wasn't given an answer or even a response. I thought this article was sort of random, but...not?
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the article, and as always....thanks for reading and I'll see you next time!
