Couldn't God Have Used Evolution?

One popular (and a bit scary) argument I have faced many times while debating is this:

Couldn't God have used evolution? Didn't he just, make the universe, then let Darwinian evolution take over?

 

Short Answer:

 

No.

 

How can I assume that? What if God did? Well, there are a couple problems with the argument above. Lets start with a question:

 

What is Darwinian evolution trying to do?

 

The point of Darwinian evolution is trying to explain the universe and everything that exists without a creator.

 

How can this refute the argument? Well, if evolution is trying to explain the universe without a creator or designer, why would God use evolution?! Why would the creator use something that is trying to prove how everything came about without a creator? This argument's foundation is contradicting and it cannot stand.

Also, if Darwinian evolution was true, then that means God doesn't exist! Darwinism is a materialistic view, so there is only physical matter...nothing else. So, how would God use evolution if God wasn't even part of the picture! If God didn't exist, then even if Darwinism was true, this argument is a horrible reason.
 

Many times Darwinists will say that the case for intelligent design depends to much on religion and isn't good science. NOT! In fact, Darwin in his book The Origin of Species has many references to God. He says that God would have made certain things certain ways if he existed. They are using something that doesn't even exist (that is, in their theory of evolution, God).

 

Intelligent design in fact is not religious based, but logically based. Intelligent design is a theory that proposes that the world looks designed and has design because it was designed. There is no reference to God. All its saying is that the world is designed. For us, as Christians, that designer is God. You could believe in a different religion and this argument would still hold. But returning to our definition of evolution:

 

The point of Darwinian evolution is trying to explain the universe and everything that exists without a creator, we see why Darwinists don't want to accept intelligent design. Darwinists don't want a creator! They want random mutations and such to produce life and design.

 

If you analyze what different theories are based on, you can find many inconsistencies or consistencies depending what theory you are studying.
